Bacon'd Steak Burger

Cooking these from frozen yields the same result as thawed, and gives the patty a nice, consistent shape.

From Frozen:

To Open:

Run both sides of package under warm water for 30 seconds. Score burgers with a knife (serrated steak knife works well) on the bottom side opposite the label in an "X" shape like the picture below, running the knife over the edge of the burger a bit. Then pop the burgers right out of the package!

Stovetop:

STEP 1:

Preheat a non-stick pan over 7/10 heat.

STEP 2:

Add 1 teaspoon of high-heat cooking oil for each burger being cooked and the frozen burger(s) to the pan.

STEP 3:

Cook until desired internal temperature is reached (about 14-16 min total), flipping every 3-4 minutes to get an even crust on both sides. Transfer to a cutting board or plate to avoid overcooking and serve.

On the Grill:

STEP 1:

Preheat your grill on high heat. Oil your grill grates to avoid sticking.
